The Duo-TENS Therapy Belt is an accessory designed, for use with the Duo-TENS device, to provide support and relieve muscular tension and pain in the lower back pain due to sports injuries, daily activities or other medical conditions.
The Duo-TENS Therapy Belt delivers electromagnetic stimulation to the lower back, using carbon fiber electrodes, through 2 channels and a choice of eight treatment modes to provide targeted relief from back pain .
Side effects of TENS therapy are rare but may include muscle soreness (from overusing the device) or minor skin irritation at the site of electrode application, which usually alleviates within 30 minutes of completing treatment.
TENS therapy should be avoided, unless first approved by your doctor, in the following groups:
- People with heart problems or who are fitted with a pacemaker or with another type of electrical or metal implant
- Pregnant women should avoid using TENS devices in the first trimester of pregnancy.
- Those with epilepsy, as applying electrodes to the head or neck areas may induce seizures.
- People who are being treated for or have symptoms of deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
